How much do the workshops cost?
Our Youth Scoop Workshops are absolutely FREE.
How long do the workshops last?
Our workshops last 45 minutes to an hour.
Do my students need special supplies?
Students need a pen or pencil and a surface to write on.
Where are the workshops done?
Our representatives come to your school. You don't have to leave the classroom!
Do we have to have it in the classroom?
We can do the workshops where it is easiest for you including classrooms, cafeterias, auditoriums, libraries, media rooms, etc.
As the teacher, what do I need to do in advance?
Nothing! Just make sure your students are ready to go to work with a sharpened pencil once we arrive.
How many students can participate at one time?
We accommodate up to 250 students per workshop. We can combine classes!
What is the maximum number of classrooms you can visit?
Due to our busy schedules, we prefer large assembly-style workshops where we can accommodate all of your students in one session.
When will my students be published?
Our representative will give you a publishing date when visiting your classroom.
What are some sample topics?
We use the standardized testing prompt format and include topics that will be of interest to your students and still leave ample room for creativity. Samples topics include: What would the world be like if no one ever learned to share? How would the world be different if kids were in charge? If you could have any pet, what would it be and why? Is it better to be an adult or a child?
