We reach over 40,000 elementary-to-high school students every year. Through our
Youth Scoop Writing Workshops, Texas and Arizona students become young
authors on the Greensheet's
Youth Scoop Page every week, sharing their opinions with their peers,
parents, and community.
What Our Writing Workshops Do (Grades 3-12)
- Reinforce writing skills and mirror
TAKS and AIMS
writing modes.
- Provide an application for "real world" writing.
- Provide reliable forum for youth to express their thoughts and
opinions in a way that is accessible by parents, peers, and the community.
- Strengthen school and community morale as schools are recognized on
the Youth Scoop page.
- Reach students of all socioeconomic, cultural, and learning
backgrounds.
- Promote family values.
