Ages 9-12
Thirteen-year-old Salamanca Tree Hiddle, otherwise known as Sal, travels across country to Idaho with her grandparents
in search of her mother. As she and her grandparents follow the same route her mother took before them, Sal begins to learn
more about her parents, the events that lead to her mother leaving, and ultimately learns more about herself.
This touching story of a girl who wants so desperately to find her mother and understand what prompted her to leave
will keep you fully engaged in the story. It's a wonderful mix of humor, sadness, and mystery that nearly makes it impossible
to put the book down. Read Walk Two Moons and follow Sal's journey as she learns to not "judge a man until you've walked two moons
in his moccasins," and comes to accept the changes in her life.
